In the steep terrain of Mill Valley’s Homestead Valley neighborhood, Heritage Landscapes turned a challenging hillside site into a family-friendly outdoor retreat. Collaborating with Shades of Green, the team designed a modern landscape that harmonized with the home's sleek architecture. The project involved significant excavation and engineered retaining walls to stabilize the site.
Key features include a custom pool with board-formed concrete walls, a heated pergola, an outdoor kitchen, artificial turf play areas, and raised vegetable beds. Despite the site’s complexities, the completed design provides a functional, stylish space where the family can relax, play, and grow together.
