Fox Dr. Point Reyes Station, California
A Home Led by the Land
Tucked into the quiet edges of Point Reyes Station, this home sits lightly on the land, wood, grasses, and garden moving in tandem rather than competing for attention. The landscape doesn’t announce itself. It reveals itself slowly, through paths, pauses, and places to linger.
This was never about creating something new for the sake of novelty. It was about shaping a setting that feels rooted, calm, and deeply connected to where it lives.
Defined by Place. Shaped by People.
From the beginning, the goal was clarity, not excess.
To honor the home architecture’s warmth and restraint, and to let the surrounding landscape guide each decision.
Native and climate-responsive plantings
Materials chosen to weather naturally over time
Pathways designed to move gently, not rush
Outdoor spaces shaped for daily life, not display
Native and climate-responsive plantings soften the structure and blur the boundary between built and natural. Gravel paths and wood walkways move gently through the site, guiding without directing, inviting exploration without urgency.
Every element was considered in relation to the next, how it would age, how it would be used, and how it would feel over time.
Walkways That Invite. Patios That Hold.
Paths that draw you forward without direction
Steps that slow the body and the pace
Decks that open outward to light and quiet
Seating that encourages lingering
An outdoor kitchen crafted in natural wood
Movement through the space feels intentional and inherent.
Paths lead without urgency. Steps slow you down. Decks open outward, offering places to gather, rest, or sit quietly with the day.
The outdoor kitchen carries the same restraint as the rest of the landscape. Natural wood cabinetry blurs the line between fabrication and setting, what’s crafted feels grown-in, what’s functional feels at home. Set into the deck and surrounded by planting, it invites gathering without spectacle: meals prepared slowly, conversations that stretch, moments meant to be used often and without ceremony.
These outdoor rooms are lived in, morning light, evening conversations, quiet afternoons, each space shaped to support presence.
This is landscape design as experience, not embellishment.
A Landscape Designed to Grow Into Place
Nothing here is meant to feel finished in a single moment.
The plantings will mature. The materials will weather.
The garden will continue to evolve alongside the people who call it home.
That’s the heart of stewardship:
designing with future focus.
At Fox Dr., the landscape doesn’t seek attention.
It offers peace of mind, and a sense of belonging that deepens with every season.

Let’s Walk the Land Together
Every landscape begins with listening, to the site, to the way you live, and to what’s possible over time. If you’re ready to shape a space that feels rooted, intentional, and built to last, we’d love to walk your property with you.
